Queens County Supreme Court grants judgment to Firm’s client dismissing action involving claim of forgery of 1984 deed
In an action seeking a declaration that the Plaintiff’s signature on a deed executed in 1984 was forged, the Firm successfully moved on behalf of its clients, the current owners of the property, for summary judgment dismissing the complaint. The Firm’s motion for summary judgment included an affidavit from the notary public who acknowledged the Plaintiff’s signature on the 1984 deed. The Queens County Supreme Court determined that the Firm’s client was entitled to summary judgment dismissing the complaint based on the submission of this affidavit the notary public, and that Plaintiff failed to submit any substantive opposition to the motion. Eric J. Mandell and Lee S. Wiederkehr represented the Firm’s client in this case. Read the decision here.
