About Our Land Use and Zoning Practice Group
The Land Use and Zoning practice group, which works in conjunction with the firm’s Real Estate Transactions group, counsels clients at all stages of real estate development, from project conceptualization and preliminary zoning due diligence through all federal, state, and local land use approval and permitting processes, as well as compliance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). They also counsel clients on their responsibilities, exposures, and liabilities arising from ever-expanding federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program and related tax credits.
The practice group has extensive experience across a broad spectrum of real estate and land use matters, including:
